Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician Trainee in Washington. Under close supervision, you will gain foundational knowledge of tools, shop rules, and air brake systems while learning FHWA inspections and basic repairs.

This full-time role may include nights/weekends and overtime; you must supply basic tools and be willing to work outdoors. A high school diploma or GED is preferred for consideration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior team member to learn repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications.
• Follow shop safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
• Train in routine preventative maintenance and air brake systems.
