Job summary

Marten Transport, Ltd. is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair the fleet in our Arkansas facility. The role requires keeping up with preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and completing repair orders with accurate labor and parts entries.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential. We offer full benefits to full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, and a 401K plan starting at 90 days, plus tool and boot

Qualifications

• High School Education with one year post high school training preferred or two plus years’ experience in tractor maintenance.
• Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work long hours in varying climates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment.
• Effectively and efficiently perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit.
• Attend all company-training classes, then retain and demonstrate what was instructed.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as needed.
• Return all unused parts to the parts room.
• Other duties as assigned.
