Job summary

Marten Transport in Clarksville, AR seeks an automotive/truck maintenance technician to perform in-house major and minor repairs on the fleet, with emphasis on timely, efficient service and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, PM inspections, completing repair orders, attending training, keeping the work area clean, and returning unused parts.

Education: high school plus post-secondary training or 2+ years tractor maintenance experience;

Qualifications

• Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position.
• Must be able to exhibit skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment.
• Effectively and efficiently perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit.
• Attend all company-training classes, then retain and demonstrate what was instructed.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as needed.
• Return all unused parts to the parts room.
• Other duties as assigned.
