Job summary

Trailer Technician position at Schneider National, Inc. in Owatonna, MN is a full-time role with a Wednesday-Friday shift and every other weekend, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers and work on various trailer systems. The job requires a technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems or at least 1 year of trailer technician experience, plus basic welding skills and experience with

Qualifications

Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
Basic welding skills preferred.
Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers.
Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
Communicate status updates with internal customers.
