Job summary

Schneider in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers.

The role requires a technical degree or 1 year experience, basic welding, and proficiency with diagnostic software; you will use maintenance software to track work orders and communicate with internal customers. Schedule is full-time, first shift, with weekend hours and a differential where applicable.

Qualifications

Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
Basic welding skills preferred.
Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
Communicate status updates with internal customers.
