Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our Dallas team. You will inspect and repair tractors and trailers, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance while working safely and efficiently.

The role involves diagnosing brakes, electrical systems, and wheel-end components, documenting repairs, and collaborating with drivers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Certificate or technical training in mechanics/truck repair.
• 1+ year of professional trailer technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to recognize trailer maintenance problems.
• Familiar with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Experience with diagnostic computers and working on trailers.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues on tractor-trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Test equipment and systems for performance.
• Repair brakes, electrical systems, wheel ends, and doors.
• Document repairs accurately.
• Maintain good relationships with employees and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.
