This may include but is not limited to doors, floors, DOT inspections, wheel end services, and electrical diagnosis. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Diagnose and repair issues on tractor-trailers. • Perform preventative maintenance on trailers. • Test equipment and systems for performance. • Perform repairs to brakes, electrical systems, wheel end service, wall panels, etc. • Document repairs. • Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and vendors. • Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or GED certificate. Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred • At least 1 year or more of professional experience as a trailer technician • Basic computer skills. • Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems. • Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills • Ability to recognize trailer maintenance problems • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations • Experienced and proficient working with diagnostic computers • Knowledge of working on trailers • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work well with team members in a fast-paced environment • Welding or fabrication experience preferred • Valid driver’s license
