Job summary

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc in Baltimore, MD is seeking a qualified trailer mechanic to join our team. This full-time position offers a pay range of $20.00 to $35.00 per hour and provides medical, vision and dental benefits, paid holidays and vacation, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401k plan.

Uniforms are provided and service awards are possible. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of trailer mechanic experience, strong knowledge of trailer systems, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trailer mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safe operation of trailers, tractors, containers, forklifts, and equipment.
• Experience with fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, body repairs and welding.
• Must have own hand tools and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements and diagnostics on semi-trailers and related equipment.
• Work efficiently, safely, and in compliance with DOT, OSHA and company policies.
• Occasionally service work at off-site customer locations.
