Job summary

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a trailer mechanic to join our team of professionals.

This full-time position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a variety of repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tasks for semi-trailers and related equipment. The role requires at least 3 years of trailer mechanic experience and a strong knowledge of safety, fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electricals, hydraulics, welding, and tool use.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trailer mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge regarding safe handling and operation of trailers, tractors, containers, forklifts, power jacks, power tools, trailer parts and supplies.
• Experience with fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, body repairs and welding.
• Professional, motivated, positive, result oriented, problem-solving attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies and regulations.
• Must pass standard pre-employment drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic tasks for various makes and models of semi-trailers, containers, and related equipment in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company polices DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.
• Service work may at times be performed at various off-site customer locations.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $35.00 Hourly

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Baltimore, MD branch. We are looking for a trailer mechanic to join our team of trailer professionals. Mechanic payrate $20/hr. - $30/hr. based on experience. Monday - Friday schedule (no nights or Saturdays).
