Job summary
Sonsray Fleet in Carlstadt, NJ seeks an experienced Trailer Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair trailers and related systems for safe operation. This role requires hands-on experience with air brakes, electrical diagnostics, lift gates, and DOT/BIT inspections.

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Trailer Technician or related heavy duty repair role.
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems including air brakes, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience with lift gates, rail or hydraulic systems preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT/BIT and PM inspection requirements.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform trailer preventive maintenance (PM) and BIT inspections.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer lighting and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot shorts, open circuits, and faulty electrical components.
- Inspect and repair air brake systems including slack adjusters and valves.
- Diagnose and maintain lift gate and rail/hydraulic systems.
- Repair or replace damaged trailer parts and components.
- Maintain records of inspections and repairs performed.
