Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Trailer Technician A / Diesel Mechanic A to assist with repairs and maintenance on trailers, lift gates, and reefer equipment at our Martin Brower facility in City of Industry.

• Candidates must have the ability to repair trailers, lift gates, reefer units, and tractors.
• Candidates should know how to perform proper PMs on all equipment with minimal supervision.

Shift: Full-Time, Tuesday - Saturday 2:00pm-10:30pm

Pay: $39.00 - 41.00/hr, depending on experience

Position Responsibilities:

• The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system.
• Operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment during roadside service calls.
• Ensure equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy".
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam).
• Work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles.
• Own tools (minimum tool requirement).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Technical School Certification.
