Job summary

J.B. Hunt is hiring a Trailer Technician in Louisville, KY. You will perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, chassis, and related equipment, under supervision, to meet company standards.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, brake system checks, and completing work orders in a timely manner. You must be able to work outdoors, supply basic tools, and cooperate with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic repairs to company standards and follow warranty guidelines.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts.
• Proficient with basic computer operations and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and follow SRT timelines.
• Maintain shop safety procedures and professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
