Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in London, KY is seeking a Trailer Technician for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on company trailers, using maintenance software to manage work orders and communicating progress to internal customers. The role requires a technical degree or 1 year of trailer tech experience, basic welding skills, and the ability to provide tools within 30 days.

Qualifications

Job overview:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements as a Trailer Technician in London, KY.
• Work on company trailers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Skills and qualifications:

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
