Job summary

Schneider in Gary, IN is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds, and component replacements on company trailers. You will work first shift in Gary, IN, with a schedule that includes Monday–Wednesday and every other weekend, from 5:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems or 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and schematics.

Job overview

Skills and qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
