Job summary

Schneider National in Gary, IN is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on company trailers. You will work on site, in a fast-paced shop environment, ensuring safety and reliability for every trip.

You will use maintenance software to create and track work orders, and you will communicate status updates with internal customers, coordinating with teams to keep trucks and trailers on the road.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems or 1 year trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide maintenance/repair recommendations.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
