Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Apprentice in Dallas, TX to start at $23.43 per hour. This is a first shift role with uniforms provided, tool allowance, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance on day one.

You will assist with trailer inspections, brake replacements, component replacements, and basic maintenance to meet FMCSA requirements while training toward Trailer Technician within 1–2 years. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, basic mechanical and computer skills, and a

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required and basic mechanical skills are expected.
• Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance, service and repairs.
• Ability to perform safety inspections and document safety procedures.
• Desire to grow into Trailer Technician role with on-the-job training.
• Willing to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement to gain FMCSA experience.
• Complete component replacements and perform routine maintenance.
• Repair trailer doors and SafeStack Systems on docked units.
• Collaborate with shop teammates on minor trailer repairs and documentation.
