Central Transport is seeking qualified mechanics to maintain our fleet of tractors, trailers, and forklifts across the United States and Canada. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and safety inspections, with pay starting at $32/hour and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include repairing trailers, inspecting critical systems, and performing routine maintenance. ASE certification is preferred but not required, and a basic tool set is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in trouble-shooting and mechanical maintenance.
• Basic tool familiarity required.
• Certifications such as ASE are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet and equipment.
• Repair trailers and related equipment promptly and safely.
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings, and other critical systems.
• Change oil, check batteries, and lubricate equipment.
• Repair containers, trailers, and chassis; fix tears and replace lights.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Responsible for repairing damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
• Repairing tears on the sides of containers
• Replacing lights
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair
• Frame repair

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of experience
• Basic set of tools
