Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for an on-site shop role. The position focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs, and related duties under supervision as needed.

You will handle tasks such as aluminum and chem-lite work, trailer brakes, air lines, liftgates, welding, and fabrication while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy shop environment. Opportunity for skill advancement and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field; or 5 years in related field.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA training or certifications preferred; able to pass pre-employment DOT screening.

Responsabilités

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures at all times.
• Determine parts needed and coordinate with Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with daily cleanup.
• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
