Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Auditor to own the final say on build quality for trailers and sub-assemblies. You will audit against drawings, customer specs, and QA standards, and sign off acceptance decisions with precise documentation.

You will work on the assembly line, review checkpoints, and flag issues to enable corrective actions. Strong communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• FHWA test with re-certification every two years (required).
• Computer literacy; fluent English (spoken and written); bilingual skills are advantageous.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable working with hourly manufacturing staff and management at all levels.
• Traits: meticulous, self-motivated, and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Audit parts, sub-assemblies, and trailers for conformance to drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Station on the assembly line and sub-assembly cells to review checkpoints.
• Sign off acceptance decisions; document rejections with traceable reasons.
• Flag issues and support management in initiating corrective measures when quality or reliability slips.
• Alert line managers to out-of-spec conditions, emphasizing patterns across units.
• Maintain daily off-the-line status tracking for units leaving sub-assembly and final assembly.
• Provide ongoing quality assessments to leaders whose teams influence final product outcomes.
• Uphold safety, attendance, and company policies; accommodate mandatory overtime as needed.
