Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking a role on the shop floor to perform process and quality audits, drive data capture improvements, and mentor teams through formalized audit activities. The position emphasizes PDCA follow-up, cross-functional teamwork, and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, supporting order preparation, and leading prototype reviews while ensuring compliance with productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of manufacturing process and line management.
• Thorough understanding of engineering process to create BOM.
• Full understanding of business software as relates to inventory and shop floor.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer application.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings/design.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
• Background in trailer manufacturing.
• Ability to use tools provided on the shop floor proficiently.
• Provide training as required to line/tack leader/PM with regards to assembly methods.
• Understand all media of communication.
• Must be capable of multi-tasking.
• Must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility of the job satisfactorily in accordance with company productivity and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reside on shop floor to perform process/quality audits and data collection improvements.
• Review schedule and order preparation; mentor and coach MIT team members.
• Document issues and PDCA follow-up with cross-functional participation.
• Weekly reports on EoL defects and top issues with audits and updates.
• Coordinate company-wide process audits and 5S workplace audits.
• Handle prototypes, first unit reviews, and sales/order reviews as needed.
• Maintain VOC and customer satisfaction through audits, training, and PDCA follow-up.
