TCI Transportation in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Trailer Mechanic with 3+ years of hands-on experience. You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and rebuild trailer systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension components. Attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical tractor-trailer maintenance experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Specialized training and experience diagnosing and troubleshooting heavy-duty trailer systems.
• Proficiency with tools of the trade, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company insurability requirements.
• Class A CDL with air brake certification preferred—but not required; willing to obtain CDL.
• Self-motivation and leadership skills.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Positive attitude and willingness to grow through self-managed online learning and hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and rebuild trailer equipment across structural, mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension systems.
• Handle a variety of trailer components with attention to safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to keep trailers road-ready.
