Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Trailer Mechanic in St. Louis, MO. You will perform routine maintenance on trailers, inspect critical systems, and repair or rebuild components in a fast‑paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy‑duty maintenance or entry‑level technician role.
• Able to perform safety inspections and document results.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Available for day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA 369.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualified per FMCSA 369.19.
• Basic hand tools are required for trailer maintenance.
• Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: ASE certifications and welding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on trailing equipment per schedules.
• Inspect and access equipment areas for required maintenance.
• Repair or rebuild equipment systems as needed.
• Follow DOT, EPA, OSHA and related regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies.
• Move trailers and operate a hostler in various weather conditions.
• Log job times and parts on repair orders.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and organized.
• Collaborate with operations and shop management.
