Job summary

TOTE Group in Tacoma, WA seeks a Trailer Mechanic (L1-3) to perform basic and intermediate troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy trailers and trucks under supervision. You will operate safely under HSSE policies and contribute to emissions and brake system diagnostics.

The role requires 1–2 years of heavy equipment repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and a basic toolkit.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
1–2 years heavy trailer and truck equipment repair experience.
Technical or trade school training in diesel mechanics desirable.
Valid driver’s license and own a basic tool kit.

Responsibilities

Perform basic and intermediate-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy trailers and trucks under supervision.
Operate safely and in compliance with HSSE policies.
Perform part diagnostics, repair and replacement; emissions troubleshooting and repair; brake system diagnostics and repair.
Maintain and diagnose using standard repair manuals and IWS/PeopleNet tools.
