Job summary

XPO, Inc. is hiring a Trailer Mechanic Apprentice in St. Louis, MO. This role supports trailer inspections, brake work, and routine repairs, with a path to Technician Level 1 within 1–2 years. A valid license, basic mechanical and documentation skills are required.

The position offers uniforms, a quarterly tool allowance, health coverage from day one, and PTO/holidays along with education assistance. Applicants must be able to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance, service and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement to gain experience for FMCSA requirements.
• Complete component replacements.
• Perform maintenance, service and repairs on trailer doors and SafeStack Systems at dock.
• Work with shop technicians on minor trailer repairs.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activities.
