Forward Air Corporation is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This full-time role involves servicing trailers, vehicles, and mechanical equipment while adhering to FA policies and delivering high customer service.

Core duties include diagnostic testing, minor repairs, tire work, and data entry in maintenance software. A valid driver's license and a proactive, team-driven attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Prior experience with truck, trailer, and/or vehicle repair.
• Desire for a long-term career with an industry leading company.
• Ability to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, and trailers.
• Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations.
• Perform minor trailer repairs.
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting and repairs.
• Perform minor cosmetic repairs.
• Conduct various analyses and inspections of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical systems to determine the most cost-effective maintenance, repair, or replacement.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment.
• Operate a variety of diagnostic instruments and hand, electric, and air-driven tools.
• Keep shop and company tools clean and in good working order.
