RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Joliet, IL is looking for an experienced Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trailer systems on a mobile service truck. The role is outdoor and requires strong communication with customers and teammates.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, is safety-minded, and able to work independently. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with quarterly bonuses after 90 days and a standard Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Experience as trailer mechanic or diesel mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and repair knowledge for semi-trailers.
• Self-motivated, safety-minded, customer-facing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair components.
• Perform preventative maintenance (ABS, frame, tires, electrical).
• Operate the mobile service truck safely.

About the Job
A successful candidate for this position must be an ++experienced++ Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to: ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.

Requirements

• ++Must be an experienced++Trailer Mechanic++++.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
