Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems. The role requires self-motivation, safety-mindedness and clear communication with customers and coworkers.

Join our team for a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with overtime, paid holidays and vacations, a 401(k) after 1 year, and quarterly safety & performance bonuses after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to: ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.

A successful candidate for this position must be an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
