Job summary

Interstate Utility Trailer in Franklin, OH is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform repairs, DOT inspections, welding and maintenance duties with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires independent work, strong customer service, and the ability to follow checklists and manufacturer guidelines while supporting the service team and dealership goals.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working on trailers.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
• Self-motivated and professional.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer repairs, including wall patches and floor patches.
• Perform DOT inspections.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
• Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
• Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
