Job summary

Interstate Utility Trailer in Columbus, OH is seeking a 2nd shift Trailer Technician to join our service team. You will perform trailer repairs, DOT inspections, and welding, working in a safety-conscious, quality-focused environment that values its technicians.

Hours are 3:30pm to 11:30pm. We offer Rx coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and company-logo uniforms.

Qualifications

• Experience working on trailers.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Self-motivated and professional, able to work independently.
• Team player with strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer repairs, including wall and floor patches.
• Perform DOT inspections.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical components are examined.
• Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices, and adjust as needed.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
• Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures, labor time guidelines, repair order documentation, and torque specifications.
• Properly complete all service and repairs assigned by your supervisor.
• Stay current on factory technical bulletins and attend training classes.
• Build positive relationships with customers and show courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.
• Follow all safety requirements and published procedures, and keep your work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
