Job summary

Weldship is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to fabricate and refabricate vehicle chassis and mounting systems. You will work on skids, saddles, containers, and mobile chassis, performing welding, brazing, torch cutting, drilling, and related tasks in a team environment.

Responsibilities include repairing vehicles, adhering to safety procedures, maintaining parts inventories, and communicating with coworkers to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with welding is not required but willingness to learn is a plus.

This includes skids, saddles, containers, and mobile chassis, etc. All areas of performing fabrication work are included within this position such as welding, brazing, torch cutting, drilling, sawing, etc. Large sections of metal are used in the performance of this function therefore it is necessary to work in a team environment to complete the assigned task.

• Notifies the supervisor of all deviations as incurred.
• Work in other areas of the facility at the direction of the area supervisor efficiently and effectively while maintaining good teambuilding skills.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
