Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking an experienced trailer technician in Omaha, NE to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of trailers. You will inspect, diagnose, and service equipment, conduct safety inspections, and prepare required regulatory documents.

The role requires hands-on use of tools, ability to read manuals, and strong problem-solving skills. You must be reliable, able to work flexible shifts, and comply with safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Minimum one year experience or completion of trade school; or equivalent.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment; own tools required.
• CDL and acceptable MVR may be required for driving on public roads.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Must be self-starting, organized and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare FMCSA and other regulations documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Employees may be asked to perform additional duties as needed.
