Job summary

A-Line is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Austin, TX to maintain our fleet of flatbed and van trailers under the Maintenance Manager. You’ll help ensure road safety, perform preventive maintenance to DOT standards, and troubleshoot repairs with a collaborative team.

Starting pay ranges from $19 to $26 per hour depending on experience. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with opportunities to grow in the fleet maintenance field.

Qualifications

• Experience with air brakes, electrical systems and ABS is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class A CDL a plus).
• Must have own basic hand tools and storage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers to meet DOT requirements.
• Repair and maintain brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, tires, and more.
• Troubleshoot issues and document repairs.
• Operate the yard truck to maneuver trailers in and out of the shop for repair.
• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on trucks as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to keep operations running smoothly.

Starting Pay: $19 - $26 starting pay, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 4:30 pm
