The Critical Care Nurse role at UCI Health is a Registered Nurse who provides individualized care to the critically ill patients and their families. Emphasis is on patients who are hemodynamically unstable or require specialized nursing care and monitoring equipment.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for total care of their assigned patient(s) for the entire shift and follows AACN guidelines in accordance with hospital and unit policies and procedures.

Formación

• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for external candidates.
• AHA BLS certification and ACLS certification.
• Two years of recent RN experience in an acute care facility.
• One year of recent experience in a Critical Care Unit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized care to critically ill patients and families.
• Care for patients who are hemodynamically unstable or require specialized monitoring equipment.
• Assume total care of assigned patients for the entire shift.
• Follow AACN guidelines in accordance with hospital and unit policies and procedures.
