Boyne Mountain is seeking an Equestrian Center Wrangler to lead trail and pony rides and care for the herd. You will ensure guest safety, provide pre-ride orientations, and help with equipment and safety checks.

Role requires comfort working outdoors, strong animal care knowledge, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. This full-time position includes access to resort passes and on-site amenities.

Formación

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of equine health, feeding, and behavioral principles.
• Comfortable working alone in a herd of horses.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Provide guests with a warm welcome and a safe, memorable riding experience. Assist with waiver completion and helmet fitting, deliver clear pre-ride orientations, match riders with appropriate horses, and guide mounting, stirrup fitting, and dismounting.
• Groom and tack up horses for trail and pony rides according to standards. Conduct tack and helmet safety checks before every ride and maintain accurate records in the Equestrian Log.
• Provide safe, attentive daily care for all livestock: feed, water, and monitor health; perform welfare checks and basic first aid.
• Maintain cleanliness of Equestrian facilities and equipment and support non-riding activities as needed.
• Share horsemanship knowledge with team members and guests and promote safe handling practices.
