Job summary

Seabrook currently seeks Trail Crew Members to build and maintain bicycle trail systems on private and public lands. This role involves outdoor labor, operating hand tools and powered equipment, and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates bring mountain biking interest, good communication, and a desire to grow within trail development trades, with training offered for equipment operation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: prior experience in trail construction, land maintenance, landscaping, or physical trades.
• Preferred: mountain biking experience and knowledge of bike trail design/flow.
• Required: valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Trail Construction & Maintenance: Build new trails and maintain existing bicycle trail systems on private and public lands according to design and safety specifications.
• Site Preparation & Maintenance: Perform tree and brush clearing, drainage installation/upkeep, excavation, and material hauling.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand tools and power equipment including chainsaws, mini excavators, and track loaders; training available.
• Workplace Safety: Champion safety standards, PPE usage, and secure operation of all tools and machinery.
• Team Collaboration: Maintain clear communication with crew leaders and team members to meet project goals and timelines.
• Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a strong desire to acquire new skills and advance technical knowledge.
• General Labor: Execute additional physical labor and site maintenance tasks as assigned.
