Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• 10+ years of technical work experience administering or inspecting construction contracts including site/civil and major bridge work.
• Knowledge of field engineering, inspection practices, and design criteria for construction projects.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, QA methods, and testing.
• 10+ years planning, designing, cost estimating, and writing special project specs for maintenance/construction.
• 6+ years performing or directing safety assessments of structures and site construction per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide recreation project support focusing on trail and trail bridge maintenance and construction inspections.
• Perform site surveys, assessments, and baseline data gathering for construction projects.
• Develop contract documents, statements of work, and cost estimates for projects as directed.
• Review contract documents for discrepancies and opportunities for value engineering.
• Inspect projects for conformance with plans, specs, codes, and schedules; document progress with photos and narratives.
• Inform COR of deficiencies and propose corrective actions; support RFI responses with research.
• Oversee routine field testing of construction materials and ensure safety and QA compliance.
• Evaluate progress payments and monitor projects impacted by events or regulatory changes.
