Qualifications

• Two years of experience in electrical or electronic fields; Associate's degree may substitute for experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and required city certifications within set timelines.
• Specialized training in electrical/electronic fields is required; licenses/certifications are mandatory within specified periods.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, installs, operates, maintains and repairs traffic signal and related systems.
• Performs tests and troubleshooting to identify malfunctions; performs repairs to component level.
• Provides guidance and training to other staff; supervises contractors when needed.
• Operates diverse vehicles and equipment, including aerial lift and heavy trucks, safely and efficiently.
• Reads blueprints, plans, and schematics and interprets electrical drawings.
• Maintains logs and documents work and tests; ensures compliance with codes and safety procedures.
• Responds to emergencies and performs routine maintenance to ensure system reliability.
