Job summary

TAPCO is seeking a skilled ITS Technician to join our team responsible for maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of Intelligent Transportation Systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of traffic management systems, including traffic signals, dynamic message signs, cameras, network equipment and other TAPCO Made products.

A background in computers and networking, AC/DC electrical systems and fiber optics is preferred, with

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years of field service and troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of electronic, electromechanical, and electrical principles; ability to test DC/AC circuits.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair a broad range of electronic, computer, communication, and network systems.
• Safely operate tools and equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Configure equipment including control boards, routers, and IP network components.
• Provide technical support to customers, contractors, and TAPCO employees.
• Document field activities and generate reports; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
