TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) is seeking a skilled ITS Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems. You will work with traffic signals, signs, cameras, and network gear, coordinating with contractors and training users. A background in electronics, networking, and fiber optics is preferred.

Role involves multi-day travel, after-hours support, and field reports. TAPCO offers solid pay based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2 years of field service and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficient with DC/AC power principles and component testing.
• PC literacy: Windows, Office, files, email, time sheets.
• Ability to configure equipment and IP networks.
• Experience with fiber optic networks: install/splice/terminate/test.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and working on ladders/outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel multi-day overnight.
• Availability for after-hours work and high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic, computer, and network systems.
• Safely operate related tools and equipment.
• Operate computer systems and software for TPS/TMS.
• Provide technical phone support to customers and partners.
• Troubleshoot equipment down to board level.
• Maintain accurate field reports and records.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Implement software/firmware changes and configure TAPCO devices.
