A Traffic Systems Crew Leader job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation & Public Works Transportation Management. This division is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the streetlights, pavement markings, and sign system for the city. The section is seeking a Crew Leader to install, repair, and maintain traffic systems.
This position requires working outside the standard business hours and working outdoors. On-call duty is required of everyone and is on a rotating basis. You may be called out after hours, when not on-call to assist in an emergency. There may be occasions when working overtime is mandatory to complete a special project.

Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises. This position requires working under less-than-ideal conditions, such as working outdoors in the heat and the cold, in wet weather, working at heights of 30’ or more, working off step ladders of 6’ to 12 ’, and working in the middle of heavy traffic.
