Job summary

City of Greenville (SC) seeks an experienced traffic engineer to support the Assistant City Engineer (Traffic) and the Traffic Management Center. The role involves reviewing site grading permits, managing signal maintenance agreements, and conducting traffic studies to improve safety and efficiency.

You will collaborate with the TMC and other divisions to deploy signal timing changes, oversee ITS infrastructure projects, and ensure projects comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Over two years of engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Review site grading permits for compliance with policies.
• Manage signal maintenance agreement and budgets.
• Conduct traffic studies and field reviews; analyze accident histories.
• Assist in Traffic Management Center with signal timing changes.
• Manage design, construction, and modification of traffic signal systems.
