Job summary

Clay County is seeking qualified Signal Technicians I-III to install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, lighting and related systems. The role requires on-call readiness and may involve field operations with lifting equipment and bucket trucks.

Starting pay varies by level: I at $21.63/hr, II at $24.31/hr, III at $27.31/hr, with potential for additional duties and supervision. A Florida CDL and IMSA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• IMSA Traffic Signals Technician Level I Certification preferred; certification may be required.
• Valid Florida CDL (Class B minimum) with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs traffic signals, street lighting, and related equipment.
• Operates and inspects aerial/lift equipment and heavy vehicles as directed.
• Completes field reports and maintains service-related paperwork.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

IMSA Traffic Signals Technician Level I Certification (Preferred)

Valid Florida CDL (Class B minimum)
