Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Level II IMSA Traffic Signal Technician required.
  • Valid Florida CDL Class B with air brake endorsement or eligibility within 120 days.
  • AS Electronics or IT training or IMSA Level III preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain ATMS communications infrastructure.
  • Investigate signal operation and timing complaints.
  • Process paperwork and records; perform admin duties.
  • Inspect construction projects involving signal system infrastructure.
  • Install, maintain, and repair CCTV cameras and ATMS infra (fiber, Bluetooth, microwave devices).
  • Participate in special engineering projects; assist data collection or equipment evaluations.
  • Respond to after-hours signal malfunctions.
  • Test repair and upgrade of signal equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system benchmarking.
  • Review signal system logs and controller data audits.
  • Maintain permanent vehicle count stations and assist data management.
  • Assist with constructing/modifying traffic signal systems.
  • Perform other duties including emergency or disaster response as required.
