Qualifications

  • High school graduate/equivalent.
  • Level I IMSA/ATSSA Signal Certification and FDOT MOT Basic within 1 year of hire.
  • One year experience in a Traffic Management Center setting.
  • Technical experience in traffic, communications, computers, or electronics desired.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor traffic status via CCTV cameras and GUI display of data.
  • Coordinate with other operations staff and external agencies for control room activities.
  • Inform Emergency Services of traffic events; communicate with police, fire, EMS.
  • Package information from monitoring and alerts for senior technicians review.
  • Understand signal timing parameters and monitor ATMS connectivity.
  • Perform other duties including emergency or disaster response as required.
