MoDOT in Ballwin, MO is seeking a traffic signal and lighting technician to install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, roadway lighting, and ITS equipment under supervision. The role offers opportunities across entry, intermediate, and senior levels with a clear career ladder and ongoing skill development.

You'll perform duties across emergency response, installation, and maintenance tasks, and you will interpret circuit plans to troubleshoot electronic components while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in electrical/electronics or networking or completion of apprenticeship.
• One year of signal and lighting field experience.
• Passing CDL written exam is required; tanker endorsement and Class B interstate status needed within 60 days after hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist on emergency calls for signals, lighting, ITS, and related equipment.
• Assist in investigation of customer service reports on signal operations and report findings.
• Respond to routine utility locates requests (Missouri One Call).
• Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of signal equipment, radio and ITS equipment, and related devices.
• Interpret signal circuit plans and schematics for troubleshooting electronic components.
