The City of Victoria TX is seeking a Signs and Markings Technician to design, fabricate, install, and maintain all street signs and markings according to MUTCD guidelines. The role involves using design software, operating sign fabrication tools, and coordinating with the city’s traffic operations.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver license, and either a Class B CDL with Airbrake or the ability to obtain one within six months.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years related experience.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• Class B CDL with Airbrake endorsement or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Signs and Markings Level I certification within 1 year of hire.
• Signs and Markings Level II certification within 3 years of hire.
• MUTCD guidelines and related safety practices.
• Graphic design software used to create signage.
• Reading blueprints and schematics.

Mansioni

• Designs and fabricates signage per MUTCD guidelines using various software.
• Installs signs, bases, sleeves, and other components.
• Inspects and maintains signs and markings; replaces damaged signage.
• Maintains stop bars, crosswalks, and curb markings; paints in parking lots.
• Maintains sign inventory database; creates identification barcodes.
• Prepares reports accurately and timely.
• Performs related duties as required.
