Job summary

The City of High Point is seeking a team member to perform routine semi-skilled work in the preparation and maintenance of traffic signs and markings. You will assist with street closures for events and support traffic control and signage installation in a dynamic municipal environment.

The role involves lifting heavy objects, working outdoors, and adhering to OSHA safety standards while contributing to community mobility and safety in High Point.

Qualifications

• Experience in street maintenance or sign installation preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain traffic signs and markings; may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Assist with street closures for events and manage temporary traffic control devices.
• Operate and support painting of parking lots and line removal operations.
