Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to join our traffic management team. You will set up cones, signs and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and communicate with your crew and supervisor on busy job sites.

No experience required—we provide training and a safety certificate. Work outdoors year-round in all weather, with flexible shifts that may include nights, weekends or emergencies. We supply safety gear; you provide steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Valid driver7s license required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 4050 pounds.
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; arrive on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all training safety rules and procedures.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
