Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is hiring Protectors to join our traffic management team in Florida. No experience or degree is required; we provide training and support to help you build a career in safety.

You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and work outdoors in all weather. Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work. Pay starts at $16.00–$16.75 per hour with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to stand/walk and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctuality essential.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening; safety-sensitive role.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic cones, signs, and barricades and remove equipment.
• Direct traffic with a stop/slow paddle and monitor site activity.
• Follow training safety rules and company policies.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends or emergencies.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
• Safety gear provided; bring steel-toed boots as needed.
