Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is hiring a Protector to work at job sites performing traffic control and safety duties. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules learned in training.

No prior experience or degree is required; training is provided. The role includes outdoor work in all weather, overtime potential, paid training, and benefits. Growth opportunities exist to senior Protector, lead Protector, and field supervisor roles.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire drug test
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather
• Flexible shifts, including nights or weekends

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs: some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required
